Wait What Productions, in Association with Lodestone Theatre Ensemble announces a Poker Tournament and Karaoke Fundraiser on July 24, 2005 at Little Tokyo’s Oiwake Restaurant.

Proceeds to benefit the funding of the short film, Pollen, written by Nic Cha Kim,  directed by Chil Kong, and produced by Erin Quill. Upcoming Wait What Projects also being funded by this event include a project by noted author/entertainment personality Dennis Hensley, and an additional short to be named later.

Come gamble and sing with the cast and crew of Pollen, including:

ALEC MAPA, from the UPN’s Half and Half, disco diva BECKY BAELING of the #1 dance hit "Getaway!", FELIX PIRE from 12 Monkeys and the upcoming feature film Phat Girlz, CHIL KONG aka White Suit, the Assassin on Lost, NIC CHA KIM of Niche Gallery and founder of Gallery Row Art Walk, and many more!

Oiwake Restaurant – 122 Japanese Village Plaza, Los Angeles, CA, (213) 628-2678 is located on the edge of Downtown Los Angeles just 2 blocks East of City Hall and in the heart of Little Tokyo. The old Japanese Firetower is the landmark of the Japanese Village Plaza Mall on the corner of 1st Street and Central where Oiwake is located on the Second Floor at #122 in the middle.

 

Your $25 ticket ($20 in advance) includes:

  • All Night Karaoke starting at 7PM with a special performance by Erin Quill, from the Original Broadway Cast of the Tony-winning musical, Avenue Q
