IMDiversity.com has completed the migration to its new job board and Job Tools account format. This section offers brief tips for returning and new users who want to get the most out of our new streamlined Job Tools accounts, offering a greatly expanded selection of searchable job opportunities, easy to use resume posting tools, instant scheduling of customized email job alerts, and more.

1) Save time with Saved Search and Job Alert Emails

Any job search on the new IMDiversity.com job board can now be immediately scheduled as Saved Search Job Alert Agent to send you an email job alert whenever a new job matching your criteria is added to the site -- even without creating a full Job Tools account. At our users' request, you can now conduct a customized search, refine the results by multiple filters, and instantly schedule an alert agent by selecting "Schedule Saved Search" at the upper left of every results page. Jobseekers can now also use any of the pre-programmed quicksearch links on our site to preview featured jobs by particular occupational, location, skillset or other interest categories to quickly schedule a Saved Search Job Alert Agent according to their interests.

2) Featured Diversity Employers and Expanded Network Searches

The new IMDiversity.com job board now offers the ability to simultaneously search among featured job opportunities with diversity-committed employers, and conduct a secondary search on a greatly expanded selection of network jobs. The results are displayed in an easy to sort, two-tab interface. On any search results page, you can preview and apply to the current featured IMDiversity.com opportunities matching your specifications. If no results of interest are found, you have the option to click on the "Network Jobs" tab on the right to review any matching jobs found on our network of partner jobs sites.

3) Streamlined Job Tools Accounts

While creating an account is no longer required in order to apply for a job or to schedule a Saved Search Job Alert Agent on the new IMDiversity.com job board, doing so takes just minutes and offers several benefits. Using our quick sign-up wizard to open a new, personalized Job Tools account allows you to post and manage an employer-searchable resume using three streamlined posting methods, as well as to create and manage multiple Saved Search Job Alert Agents -- automated searches using your custom criteria that will email you job alert whenever a new job is added matching your specifications.

4) My Resume - Keep it Fresh

The new IMDiversity.com job board now offers a super-easy way for active jobseekers to keep their employer-searchable resumes at the "top of the resume pile" in employer search results. Clicking the new "Refresh" link beneath your resume each time you log into your Job Tools account will instantly mark your resume as updated, moving it to the top of employers' resume results.

5) IMDiversity's QuickSearches

IMDiversity has redesigned its series of quicksearch links and sections to make use of our new job board's superior Saved Search Job Alert Agents, which can be instantly scheduled to send you email alerts from any search results page -- with or without creating a full Job Tools account. Jobseekers visiting our Career Center, Multicultural Villages, or career channels can click on pre-programmed quicksearch links to preview (and narrow down by any desired custom-filters) featured jobs according to their interests. Quicksearches may be programmed by occupation (eg., Academia/Education, Media and Journalism), location (state-specific searches), skillset (Jobs preferring bilingual candidates) or other interest categories (Jobs with a $100K-Plus annual salary range) to quickly schedule a Saved Search Job Alert Agent according to their interests. In some cases, these quicksearches collect opportunities that are not directly searchable using regular job posting and keyword searching fields.

6) Login Troubles and Note to Jobseekers with Existing Accounts on Our Old System

At the request of users with accounts on our old system at http://jobs.imdiversity.com, we have extended the transition period in which your old account tools, resume, applications history, and agents will remain temporarily accessible so that you can complete any outstanding applications and make backups of any information you want to save.  However, we strongly encourage to you take a moment now to create an account on the new system, as your old username and password will not work on the new job board.  Additionally, we have received reports about login problems from users who have been trying to access the new Job Tools accounts using their old account logins. Please note that during the transition period, you can instantly distinguish between the two job boards by noting the address bar appearing in your browser. Any page showing an address beginning with http://jobs.imdiversity.com resides on the old system; pages on the new job board reside on the subdomain http://jobsearch.imdiversity.com.

During this transition period, we are actively inviting your feedback about the new system and your input about what new kinds of features you'd like to see in the future. Account holders who have encountered any problems, have suggestions or want to send us your evaluation of the new system are encouraged to contact us.
