Employer ProfilePalm Beach Community College,
established in 1933, is Florida?s first public community
college. More than 21,000 students are enrolled in PBCC?s
education programs, which include associate degrees, career and
technical education and personal enrichment. The College ranks
9th in the nation in the number of associate degrees
conferred, according to Community College Week. PBCC
also ranks 15th nationally in degrees awarded in
health professions and related sciences and 28th in
total degrees awarded to minorities.
In addition to its largest campus in Lake Worth, PBCC has
locations in Belle Glade, Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens.
Classes also are offered in West Palm Beach, Royal Palm Beach
and Wellington. Students learn through traditional classroom
instruction as well as distance learning through Internet,
television and video conferencing. The College is accredited by
the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools.
