Here's the list of supplies that Boat People SOS need for
its Houston office as it processes evacuees. Everything can be
sent to:
Boat People SOS
ATTN: Donations for KATRINA
11205 Bellaire Blvd., Suite#B22
Houston, TX 77072
Also, if you're interested in making a monetary donation, that
can be sent to their Virginia office at:
Boat People SOS Headquarters
6066 Leesburg Pike, Suite 100
Falls Church, VA 22041
http://www.bpsos.org/index.html
Other organizations such as Lua Viet, headed by Father
Chuong (who interestingly had also worked to console 9/11 victims), are
working in Mississippi. They just sent fish sauce and rice to
families and are conducting a needs assessment. If you would
like to donate to them, their address is:
Lua Viet Youth Association
P.O. Box 349
Marlboro, NJ 07746-0349
The office supplies might sound
strange when weighed against formula but they do need them in order to
process everyone for relief benefits and more. Let's take
advantage of back to school sales or perhaps send gift cards so that
they may buy the supplies themselves.
Thanks everyone for your support!
