Katrina Action: Help Sought by Fellowship Sheltering Korean Presbyterian Church of NOLAThe following inquiry for assistance was sent to AAV as a letter to the editor. To the extent possible, the editors have sought to follow up and verify the legitimacy of such messages, but cannot guarantee the organizations' claims as represented, and welcome any additional information by readers who pursue them. In a follow up call by our editors, Mr. Peters observed that assistance needs have shifted, as he also seeks aid with expenses such as utilities and water expenses for powering the gymnasium that is being used as a makeshift shelter. Individual or organizations wishing to provide aid should contact the Peters directly.
Sanjeetha Peters, wife of Pastor John Peters, writes from Natchitoches, Louisiana: Hi, We are currently sheltering Koreans from the Korean Presbyterian Church from New Orleans. We are located in a very small town and do not have resources to get Korean food. If you would like to get in touch with them or send Korean food, soft drinks, etc, please email us at SPETERS@LSMSA.EDU or call our cell phone at (318) 663-2174. Address:
